16 Services of GMDA Notified Under Right to Service Act
Chandigarh, December 11 – The Haryana Government has notified 16 services each for Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) under the Right to Service Act, 2014.Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi issued a notification outlining these services.
For units located within the jurisdiction of GMDA and FMDA, services such as CLU permissions, building plan approvals, and occupation certificates will be provided within specified timelines.
We will grant CLU permissions (excluding cases where the government is competent) within 60 days, and approve building plans with CLU approval within 90 days. We will issue Occupation Certificates within 60 days for cases with no offences and within 90 days for other cases.
Additionally, under the Punjab Scheduled Roads and Controlled Areas Irregular Development Restriction Act, 1963, we will issue brick kiln and charcoal kiln licences within 30 days.
Water supply and drainage connections for both bulk and industrial purposes will be provided in 12 days.
Authorities will resolve water leakage issues within three days, and fix manhole blockages in seven days.
They will restore minor water supply disruptions in three days.
Authorities will resolve major issues like transformer failures or breakdowns of HT/LT lines within six days, and fix main water line leaks within 10 days. Duplicate water and sewer bills will be issued in three days, and errors in bills will be corrected within 10 days.
The government has also appointed designated officers for these services, along with First and Second Appellate Officers to address grievances and ensure smooth service delivery.
